We certainly have, and it isn’t an easy service to find. Karen Gill, owner and swim coach of Theorytech Swim School, set up her private one to one swim school in June 2015. Her biggest desire to start her own business came after discovering the difficulty to find such an option available for her own children. Karen has always been an avid swimmer and hoped for her children to have the same opportunities to learn and progress in the water. After a little encouragement from her family, friends and teaching coach, she decided to get her qualification to become a swimming teacher. With a level 2 Swimming instructor’s qualification and a heap load of encouragement, Karen set up Theorytech Swim School, based in Church Lawford in Warwickshire.
Of course, like any business, it wasn’t an easy beginning. Karen has told us that she initially struggled with advertising and how to best promote her business. As any new business owner, it takes a little time and investment to get things off the ground and this is exactly what Karen has achieved with Theorytech swim school.

So, not only does she run all areas of the business, but she is also the one who will be helping you out in the pool! This business-savvy lady teaches her lessons from a heated endless pool, which allows for adjustments in current depending on a person’s capability, as well as considering speed and stroke length. Her service has become very popular for parents wanting their children to learn how to swim. We can’t imagine a safer and friendlier place for our kids to develop their swimming skills.
